This statement is false.

I don’t know why, but I absolutely adore this comic, it was fun to draw, and I really liked the idea the moment I thought of it. I’m not even sure what sparked this one though, to be honest. It just kind of came to me. Yeeeup. Not much else to say about this one, I think it pretty much speaks for itself.

Well, it has been a good week and I’ll see you all on Monday. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go back to watching some MST3K.

True story… except the everyone dieing thing, that part was a lie.

So, in an interesting turn of events I have (for some reason) decided to go the route that so many artists before me have, and start live streaming No Pun Intended, or, more accurately, I’ve started doing a stream of me drawing the comic. There’s a chat box, and everyone is invited to come and say hi and comment on my inability to draw hands, or whatever! However, I’ll only be doing it if it wont spoil the joke for the comic that day.

Now, if you’re interested in this, you could either do one of two things:

1. Check that page periodically Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday evenings to see if I’m streaming.

2. Follow me on Twitter, and know exactly when I’ll be starting, each time I start.

I look forward to seeing if people show up, I’d love to stream my comic-drawing, but it’ll be pointless if folks don’t show up to watch.

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Comic’s late, but in return I have a new comic, AND a new podcast for all of you to listen to. Podcast should be up by the end of the day (I’ll edit this post when it goes up). Also, I recommend that if you’ve thought about listening to the podcasts in the past, but haven’t, that you listen to this one, we would like to get our fans opinions about a potential addition to the site.

Nothin’ else to say really, except that this is the last Tetris comic I had written down, so it’ll probably be the last one for quite awhile. Hopefully it is acceptable to you.

EDIT (Sept. 6th, 2010 – 2:12 AM): Today’s comic’s gonna be a bit late, as in, I’ll upload it sometime this afternoon. Apologies, podcast recording went longer then I thought it would, and I don’t want to be up until 4:30 AM making a comic.

Ugh, I hate fall. It’s my least favorite season, which actually surprises a lot of people. To my shock most of the people I know love fall, and I just can’t understand why. First off it signifies the “back to school” time of year, which brings back some great memories, lemme tell ya. Second, the weather is never consistent, one day you could step outside in a t-shirt and shorts, and by 3 o’clock it’s 10 degrees outside for some reason, it’s very random, and I don’t like being unsure of what to wear on my excursions to the outdoors. And finally, I really enjoy winter. I think I’ve made this apparent before in the comic, but yeah, winter, snow, the whole season just puts me in a good mood.

Alright, well that’s my rant for today, hope Wednesday’s comic didn’t scare all my readers away! Enjoy, and have a good weekend.

Just fillin’ my “disgusting comic” quota for 2010.

This is one of those comics that just randomly came to me, I have no idea if it even really makes sense, but for better of for worse, here it is.

I’m pretty happy with how the art turned out in this one, I’m actually beginning to grasp hands a little bit (no pun intended). I’m finally getting down how they’re shaped, and how they move. Perhaps in 100 comics my hands might actually look decent!

I’ve been working on a lot of music lately, but I just seem to be unable to finish things, it seems like whenever I actually do finish a song, I’m never quite satisfied with it, and I end up disliking it more and more as I listen to it. This has nothing to do with No Pun Intended, I just felt like sharing.

Not a whole lot else going on, hopefully all of you are aware why there wasn’t an update on Friday, if you’re not… well, you need to either follow me on Twitter or start readin’ the news posts… then again if you’re not doing either of those things, then you wont read this either.

Oh, and I’m trying to round up the guys for another podcast, perhaps sometime in the next week it’ll happen, we shall see!

EDIT 8/28: Regular updates resume Monday August 30th! Apologies for missing Friday’s comic, however my computer had a bit of soda spilled on it, and it needed a day to dry.

If you don’t know what last.fm is, it’s a website where you put in some of your favorite artists and bands, and it starts playing recommended music based on your selections. Then, as songs play you can either “love” or “ban” them, and it’ll start optimizing it’s selections to fit your taste. It’s pretty neat, and it’s totally free. It’s also a great way to expand your taste in music.

And no, that was not a paid advertisement, it’s actually really cool. Plus, paying me to promote something would be a huge waste of money

Glad I’m starting to get my schedule back on track, a 12:35 update is quite the rare event!

This is probably one of my more “true” comics, everything I say in this one reflects my personal opinion flawlessly. Now, I am enjoying having an iPod Touch, being able to check skype, and a good chunk of my regular sites in the palm of my hand is really handy, but It’d be an understatement to say that I was a little disappointed in the App Store Tetris offerings, there is only one game, and it’s a crummy EA Tetris with Touch controls that make me want to chop off my fingers. My hands friggin’ COVER THE PLAYING FIELD. That is not a good thing for Tetris. Also it’s three friggin’ bucks. I have 2 different version of Tetris on my computer right now, both of which were made by independent developers, free, and way better versions of Tetris than the iPhone one will ever be. Phew, okay, had to get that off my chest.

Well on a little side tangent, the 2nd panel’s final line rings true as well, me and a friend are in fact developing our own personal Tetris for iPhone and iPod, because we both think the app store offering is absolute garbage, and since he knows coding, and I know graphics, we figured we could actually make our own version, and make it suit our needs. It’s not totally done yet, but we’ve got a solid foundation, and it’s looking promising. If you’re interested in the idea of a non-sucky iPod/iPhone Tetris, just shoot me a message on Twitter or whatever.

So, I went and saw Scott Pilgrim VS. The World the other night, it was well shot, the special effects were great, and the acting was just a blast to watch. It wasn’t the best movie ever made, but considering it did so horribly at the box office, it may be the ONLY film of it’s kind for quite some time. I know telling you in my little webcomic news post isn’t going to send anyone running to their local theater, but if you like Edgar Wright, and if you like video games, GO SEE SCOTT PILGRIM. I hate to see something that I’m actually interested in, and that’s actually a good step forward in film making do so horribly! It’d be a shame if we don’t see another movie like this in the next decade.

What’s more badass then flipping off a butterfly? NOTHING.

So, if the comic isn’t a dead giveaway then it should be made clear, I went and saw “The Expendables” yesterday evening. My personal take? Go see it, because honestly it’s just so damn fun. The plot is simple, the characters aren’t terribly developed, but something about it is just so much fun to watch. The fights are all amazingly choreographed, and the special effects are quite good, especially the gore. I don’t even like action movies that much, but I had a blast watching this one!

Also, I put together a fun little video of me and the crew’s exploits at Comic-Con, give it a watch if you have a minute!

Oh, and remind me to never start a complex comic at 1AM ever again. 4AM IS NOT A GOOD BEDTIME.
